Language veteran Jalil passes away

COMILLA, Oct 23 (UNB): Language veteran Abdul Jalil died of old age complications at Medi Aid Hospital in Dhaka city Thursday. He was 80.
Jalil, who was born at the Harong village under Chandina Upazila, was one of the organizers of the language movement in 1952 while he was a student of Dhaka University. He was arrested two times by the then Pakistan authorities during the language movement.
