LankaBangla Finance appoints two new directors

The board of directors of LankaBangla Finance approved the proposal of replacement of two nominee directors of Sampath Bank through induction of I.W. Senanayake and G.L.H. Premaratne, chairman and managing director respectively of Sampath Bank as members of the board.
It was approved at the 57th board meeting of LankaBangla held recently at its corporate office at Banani in the city, says a press release.
LankaBangla Chairman Mohammad A. Moyeen presided over the meeting. Directors I.W. Senanayake, Mahbubul Anam, Farman R. Chowdhury, and Managing Director Mafizuddin Sarker, Sampath Bank COO Aravinda Perara, LankaBangla CFO Quamrul Islam and Company Secretary A.K.M. Kamruzzaman attended the meeting.
The board reviewed the activities of the company for the year 2008 and expressed their satisfaction on overall business performance and operating results.
The managing director presented the budget for 2009 along with strategic plan to continue maintainance of business development, product diversification and regional expansion of service network and the board approved the same.
