Lankan student dies in fall from rooftop

CHITTAGONG, May 21: A Sri Lankan student of the University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC) died after a fall from an eight-storey residential building in the port city's Foy's Lake area Wednesday morning. The deceased was identified as Insan Irfan, 23, son of Irfan Abdul Jabbar, and a final year student of MBBS 23rd batch of USTC. Police said Insan was critically injured after he had fallen off the rooftop of the 8-story 'Rose Valley' residential building at Foy's Lake area around 6am. — BSS
