Large quantity of arms seized from CPI(M) offices

KOLKATA, May 19 (BSS): Police seized a large quantity of illegal arms from CPI(M) offices and other places in three districts of West and East Midnapur and Bankura during the raids in last four days. Even a makeshift arms manufacturing unit was unearthed in the jungle mohal in Kankabati and Shalbani in Midnapore sadar block, the hotbed of CPI(M) action squad, police said. Besides arms, a large number of masks and black cloth, used to cover identity of the goons were also recovered from the area. Registered books detailing the arms manufacturer and employment of people were also recovered, reports quoting police said. A police officer without disclosing the identity said. "I can't say the number of arms recovered in the last four days, but surely it is more than three hundred", the report said. Meanwhile, two skeletons were recovered from the Kongshabali river belt in West Midnapore yesterday. Meanwhile, the Central Minister of State for Rural Development Sisir Adhikary told a public meeting alleging that CPM mininster Susanto Ghosh is the kingpin of the total operation of arms manufacture, supply, training of cadres and their deployment to terrorise people in the jungle mohal.
