Launch capsize: Khaleda shocked at loss of lives

BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Thursday expressed profound shock at the loss of lives in a launch capsize in the Meghna River at Gazaria, Munshiganj. In a condolence message, Khaleda, also a former prime minister, said, “I'm deeply shocked and saddened like the family members of those drowned and remained missing in the launch capsize.”  Khaleda demanded of the government to take quick and effective steps to rescue the missing people and ensure due compensations for the victim’s family members. She prayed for salvation of the departed souls and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members, according to a news agency.
