The High Court (HC) Monday asked the law-enforcement agencies to report to the court within 72 hours the whereabouts of Liakat Hossain, a former Jubo League leader and one of the 23 top-listed terrors, said to have been held recently, reports UNB.
Passing the orders upon a writ petition, a division bench comprising Justice Nazmun Ara Sultana and Justice M Rezaul Haque also issued a rule asking government to explain why direction should not be given for producing Liakat before the court so that the court may satisfy itself that he is not being held in custody without lawful authority or in an unlawful manner.
