Law & order situation alarming: Mirza Alamgir

BNP acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said the country’s law and order situation is alarming. Criticising the government for ‘sharp slide in law and order’, the BNP leader said the country’s people are now suffering from a sense of insecurity. ‘Country’s people are not in peace. They even can’t move safely on the streets,’ he said while addressing a meeting of the BNP-led 20-party alliance at Mukhterpur Ferryghat at Munshiganj Sadar upazila. The BNP spokesperson said, ‘Awami League is trying to hang onto power by resorting to killing, looting and making (people) disappeared. They want to re-establish one-party rule and stay in power forever.’ He also alleged that the government has pushed the country towards conflict abolishing caretaker government system, according to a news agency.
