Law, order situation in Narsingdi reviewed

NARSINGDI, Feb 17 (BSS): The overall law and order situation of the district was reviewed at a meeting held here on Monday.
The meeting discussed the present political situation of the district as well as the country. Celebration of Amar Ekushey, narcotics control situation and other issues also came up for discussion.
It strongly criticized the ongoing movement of BNP-Jamaat alliance in the name of hartal and blockade.
The meeting also vehemently criticized the BNP and its alliance for carrying out anarchy, sabotage, arson and petrol bomb attacks on passenger buses and goods laden trucks killing innocent people across the country.
The speakers opined in the meeting that the movement of BNP is not a political movement. It is a terrorist movement. Local lawmakers Nurul Mojid Mahmud Humayun and Rahima Akhtar also spoke on the occasion. The meeting was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Abu Hena Morshed Zaman.
