Lawyer fined for disseminating wrong info

A Supreme Court lawyer was on Monday fined Tk 10,000 for disseminating wrong information to the media about a High Court interim order upon a writ petition relating to Ebola virus screening. An HC division bench comprising Justice Naima Haider and Justice M Jahangir Hossain passed the punitive order as lawyer Dr Eunus Ali Akond, also the writ petitioner, miserably failed to satisfy the court by his explanation on his wrongdoings, according to a news agency.
