Lawyers demand release of Hasina to send her abroad for treatment

Some 201 lawyers of the Supreme Court (SC) Thursday demanded release of detained ailing Awami League President Sheikh Hasina to send her abroad for proper medical treatment, reports UNB.
They also demanded withdrawal of all the "false cases" filed against Hasina to harass her.
The signatories to the statement include, among others, Shafique Ahmed, Mahbub-E-Alam, Shahara Khatun, AFM Mezbah Uddin, Yusuf Hossain Humayan, Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, Shamsul Huda Manik, M Rahmat Ali, Abdul Mannan Khan and AM Amin Uddin.
