Lawyers threaten to besiege Rab office

Tuesday, 6 May 2014

Narayanganj Lawyers Association on Tuesday threatened to lay a siege to the Rab-11 office on May 11 (Sunday) if the accused in the seven-murder case are not hunted down by the time. President of Narayanganj Bar Association Advocate Sakhawat Hossain Khan came up with the threat at a rally held in front of the District Bar Bhaban at noon. “We’ll lay a siege to the Rab-11 office on Sunday if there’s no revealing progress in the probe and if the accused are not booked by Saturday,” he told the rally. The lawyers observed a one-hour work abstention protesting the recent abductions and killings of seven people, including their colleague Chandan Kumar Sarker and Narayanganj City Corporation panel mayor Nazrul Islam, according to UNB.
