Laxmipur Jubo Dal activist shot dead

LAXMIPUR, Apr 12 (UNB): A local activist of Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, youth front of the BNP, was shot dead by unknown miscreants at Baralia in Sadar Upazila early Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Kamal Hossain Babul, an activist of Bashikpur union unit of Jubo Dal and son of Sayed Ahmed, a resident of Kashipur village of the upazila.
Police, quoting locals, said a group of miscreants called Kamal out of his house at dead of the night and picked him up.
Later, they shot him to death and dumped the body near his house.
On Saturday morning, local people spotted Kamal's body lying in the area and informed the police.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Laxmipur Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Wahiduzzaman, sub-inspector of Dattapara police investigation centre, confirmed the killing.
A case was filed in this connection.
