Lay-off of Afil Jute Mill extended

KHULNA, Feb 16: The lay-off of Afil Jute Mill has been extended for 15 days.
Project Director of the mill Manowar Hossain said General Manager
[Administration] of BJMC Md. Ziauddin sent a fax message on Thursday extending the lay-off for 15 more days with a view to repairing the mechanical fault for smooth running of the mill.
On the other hand, the workers have withdrawn their earlier declared programmes.
