LDP leader Redwan Ahmed arrested

Former State Minister for Liberation War Affairs and LDP Presidium Member Redwan Ahmed was arrested Friday evening. Police arrested him from the premises of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) at about 7pm on apprehension that he might violate the emergency power rules. "We'll produce him before the CMM Court Saturday (today)," second officer of Shahbagh police station Akhter Morshed said. Redwan was elected Member of Parliament from Chandina in Comilla in 2001. — UNB
