Leather goods workers brought under insurance coverage

The workers and employees of leather goods and footwear factories have been brought under insurance coverage with a view to offering benefits to their families in case of disastrous and unexpected events like death.
A group insurance contract has been signed in this connection between Delta Life Insurance Company Ltd and Leathergoods and Footwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association of Bangladesh (LFMEAB) at the head office of Delta Life Insurance at Motijheel in the city Tuesday.
Delta Life Managing Director Das Deba Prashad and LFMEAB President Md Saiful Islam signed the contract on behalf of their respective organizations, said a press release.
