Leathertech fair begins today

A three day ‘Leathertech Bangladesh-2015’ kicks off today (Thursday) in the city to display leather related technology including machinery, chemical and accessories.
The third edition of the show will take place at International Convention City Bashundhara in the city organised by ASK Trade and Exhibitions Pvt Ltd.
“This is the largest leather show in the country that will showcase machinery, chemicals, accessories and other components related to leather industry and finished products,” Director of the organising company Nanda Gopal said at a press conference held in a city hotel.
Kazi Roushan Ara, executive director of Leathergoods and Footwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association of Bangladesh (LFMEAB) and Tipu Sultan Bhuiyan, director of the organising company, among others, were present at the briefing.  
The number of companies, products variety that are participating in the show reflects that the capacity of the local leather industry has increased, Mr Nanda said adding the show will help local entrepreneurs know the latest technology.
 More than 140 companies from 13 countries including China, Turkey, Japan and Hong Kong will display their products in 170 stalls and pavilions, organisers said.
The fair will remain open for all from 9:00am to 7:00pm every day.
