Legendary hockey player Abdus Sadeque passes away

National award-winning legendary hockey player Abdus Sadeque passed away on Saturday at the age of 80, reports BSS.
He breathed his last in the morning at local hospital in Gulshan after suffering from old age complication for a prolonged period.
Abdus Sadeque is survived by two sons, one daughter, relatives, friends, and hosts of admirers to mourn his death.
In addition to his distinguished career as a hockey player, Abdus Sadeque also earned widespread recognition as a footballer. He served as the captain of Abahani's first football team and was widely regarded as one of Bangladesh's finest all-round sports personalities.
Following his playing career, he continued to contribute to the country's sporting community as a sports organizer.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of the legendary hockey player and sports figure.
