Legends of Rupganj beat Prime Doleshwar

After four successive defeats in the Walton Refrigerator Dhaka Metropolis Premier Division Cricket League, defending champions Legends of Rupganj returned o form with a 28-run win over Prime Doleshwar SC in a 10th round match at Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah Wednesday, reports UNB.
In the day's curtailed over match, Legends of Rupganj batted first after winning the toss and scored a formidable 211 runs for all in 30.1overs.
Number four Azhar Zaidi contributed team highest 47 runs off 41 balls with six fours. Opener Tamim Iqbal scored 45 runs off 48 balls with three fours and two sixes while Nazumul Milon smashed 35 runs off 12 balls with a four and four sixes.
Skipper Shakib Al Hasan also smashed 30 runs off 18 balls with five fours while Alok Kapali (23) and Zunaid Siddique (21) were the other double digit scorers for the side.
Elias Sunny grabbed three wickets for 19 runs in 3 overs while Delwar Hossain, Sanjamul Islam and Muktar Ali took two wickets each for 22, 24 and 45 runs respectively in 5, 3.1 and 6 overs.
Chasing 212 runs in revised 31 overs, Prime Doleshwar SC were all out for 183 runs in 30 overs.
Number five Dawid Malan made a half-century scoring team highest 53 runs off 58 balls with two fours and two sixes.
Skipper Mushfiqur Rahim scored 32 runs off 22 balls with two fours and two sixes while Mizanur Rhaman (26) and Elias Sunny (not out 25) were the other double digit scorers for the side.
All rounder Shakib Al Hasan grabbed four wickets for 27 runs in 7 overs while Shahid took three wickets for 28 runs in 4 overs.
Meanwhile, in the day's two other curtailed-over matches, Mohammedan Sporting Club defeated Partex Sporting Club by 7 wickets at BKSP ground-3 in Savar while Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club beat Old DOHS Sports Club by 6 wickets at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.

Batting first after winning the toss, Partex SC scored 175 runs for 8 in revised 36 overs.
Number three Rajin Saleh made a half-century scoring team highest 82 runs off 87 balls with eight fours and three sixes.
Zain Abbas scored 35 runs off 58 balls with three fours while skipper Mehrab Hossain Jr (19) and Rezaul Karim (not out 10) were the other double digit scorers for Partex SC.
Alauddin Babu grabbed four wickets for 27 runs in 8 overs and Mashrafe Mortaza took three wickest for 30 runs in 7 overs.
Set 176 runs to win, Mohammedan SC reached the target scoring 177 runs for 3 wickets in 33 overs, thanks to an opening stand of 94 runs in 18.5 overs by Ejaz Ahmed and Tanvir Haider.
Opener Ejaz Ahmed smashed a half-century scoring team highest 59 runs 66 balls with eight fours and a six.
Tanvir Haider made another half-century scoring 56 runs off 84 balls with three fours and a six.
Number four Naeem Islam scored unbeaten 31 runs off 28 balls with three fours while Mithun added 12 runs and Rahmat Shah not out 8 runs.
Razibul Islam, Nuruzzaman Masum and Zain Abbas took one wicket each for 25, 27 and 33 runs respectively in 7, 6 and 4 overs.
Sheikh Jamal DC vs Old DOHS SC
Sent into bat first, Old DOHS Sports Club scored 155 runs for 9 in revised 45 overs.
Number three Joyraj Sheikh Emon made a half-century scoring team highest 61 runs off 68 balls with four fours and a six while opener Rubel Mia (23), Shanaj Ahmed (21), Saleh Ahmed Shawon (not out 13), skipper Nihaduzzaman (11) and Shajib (10) were the other double digit scorers for Old DOHS Sports Club.
Sohag Gazi grabbed five wickets for 27 runs in 9 overs while Arafat Sunny, Sajib Datta, Nahidul Islam and Tushar Imran took one wicket each for 19, 30, 31, and 34 runs respectively in 9, 9, 9 and 6 overs.
Chasing 156 runs, Sheikh Jamal DC reached the target scoring 158 runs for 4 in 42.2 overs, riding on a 4th wicket stand of 102 runs in 24.3 overs contributed by opener Myshukur Rahman and Arafat Sunny Jr.
Myshukur Rahman made a half-century scoring 83 runs 118 balls with 11 fours and a six.
Number five Arafat Sunny Jr scored unbeaten 44 runs off 78 balls with three fours while Sohag Gazi scored not out 13 runs off 9 balls with two fours.
Sanjit Shah grabbed two wickets for 21 runs in 9 overs while Shahidul Islam and Abu Zayed took one wicket each for 19 and 24 runs respectively in 5 and 7.2 overs.
With the day's results, Prime Doleshwar SC, Legends of Rupganj and Mohammedan SC share the 4th slot in the league table with identical 12 points.
In the remaining 10th round matches on Thursday, league leaders Prime Bank CC will play Kalabagan KC at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur; Abahani Limited will meet Kalabagan Cricket Academy at Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah; and Brothers Union Club will face Victoria SC at BKSP ground-3 in Savar.
