Lessons from power blackout

The recent 12-hour power blackout all over the country has raised a storm of discussions and concerns. The government should now take appropriate steps so that such incidents are not repeated in future. The national grid should be de-centralised so that if such grid failure at one point happens, it won't affect the whole country.  
Experts have termed our national power grid weak, faulty and they have pleaded for making it stronger. Power is vital in our life and national economy and without it, we cannot move forward.
Due to long power failure, our economy suffered a lot and lost millions in terms of money. As it was just the beginning of winter, the weather was much cooler. But had it been summer, the situation would have been worst.  
We, however, must not ignore those who helped and worked very hard to restore power within a very short time. They deserve praise for their job.
I hope, the government will modernise the whole power sector and take necessary steps to stop the national grid failing.
