'Let's Build Bangladesh' road show starts journey

PANCHAGARH, June 2 (UNB): "Let's Build Bangladesh", the government-sponsored road show formally started its journey from the district with five agenda to rejuvenate all classes of people including farmers to boost production and fight out corruption.
The road show comprising 15 trucks in the next 50 days will travel 55 districts, including the divisional cities. The trucks beautified with various slogans arrived here Saturday afternoon.
Local administration Sunday organised a function marking the formal launching of the road show at the premises of district collectorate office. A fair was also inaugurated at the premises on the occasion.
Divisional Commissioner M Hafizur Rahman was the chief guest at the function, addressed, among others by Deputy Commissioner M Hafizuddin, Police Super M Harun-ur-Rashid and educationist Hashim Akhter.
The travelling trucks will return to Dhaka on 15 July.
Earlier on May 30, Agriculture Advisor Dr CS Karim in the capital had opened the road show jointly arranged by Food, Agriculture, Telecommunications, Home ministries, Election Commission, Anti-corruption Commission and BTRC.
The slogans of the road show include more production to meet the food deficit, fight corruption, free and fair elections and establish honest leadership.
Government has deigned the show to express gratitude to farmers for bumper Boro production this year, encourage them to go for more production next year and cultivate fallow lands, fight out corruption and elect honest representatives through the next elections.
During the road show the organisers will involve common people in the campaign while passing through different districts. During the show fair and cultural show will be arranged to create public awareness to build Bangladesh as a beautiful nation.
