LGC meets Chief Adviser

A three members of the newly formed Local Government Commission (LGC), led by its chairman Fayzur Razzak, paid a courtesy call on Chief Adviser (CA) Fakhruddin Ahmed Monday, reports UNB.
The two other members were Hedayetul Islam Chowdhury and Professor Dr Tofail Ahmed.
During the meeting in the CA's office, they discussed ways for strengthening local government institutions.
According to an official, the LGC chairman apprised the CA that the Commission had started its work to strengthen local government bodies.
The CA gave them guidelines to infuse dynamism into local government bodies to fulfil the aspirations of the grassroots-level people.
