LGD allocates Tk 28.6m for development work in Nilphamari

NILPHAMARI, Mar 22: Local Government Division of the Ministry of Local Government and Co-operatives allotted Tk 28.6 million for Nilphanari district for the development works of all 60 Union Parishads of the district. Each Union Parishad would formulate scheme and implement those in their respective unions by forming scheme implementation committee. The allotment titled Local Governance Support Project (LGSP) envisages to empower the local elected bodies. The scheme would comprise Union Parishad planning and technical assistance committee, Upazila resource team, tender evaluation committee and so on. In Nilphamari district, a total of 60 Union Parishads across 6 Upazilas got total allotment of Tk 28.6 million, of which for Sadar Upazila Tk 6.7 million has been allotted for its 15 union parishads, for Syedpur upazila Tk 2.5 million for its 5 Union Parishads, for Jaldhaka Upazila Tk 5 million for its 11 Union Parishads, for Kishorganj Upazila Tk 5 million for its 9 Union Parishads, for Dimla Upazila Tk 4.9 million for its 10 Union Parishads and for Domar Uapzila Tk 4.5 million for its 10 Union Parishads.
