LGED implementing numerous projects in Nilphamari

Our Correspondent NILPHAMARI, Jun 4: Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) of Dimla upazila in Nilphamari district is implementing numerous projects assigned to them in this fiscal year. Sources said as many as 83 projects of different magnitudes are being implemented by LGED Dimla at a cost of more than Tk 200 million. The projects include Integrated Rural Infrastructure Development Project (IRIDP), Primary Education Development Project (PEDP), Sustainable Rural Infrastructure Improvement Project (SRIIP) and so on. While contacted upazila engineer LGED Dimla said most of the works of the projects in the upazila has been completed and works of the rest are going on speedily. He mentioned that the project implementation works gain pace on strict supervision and monitoring of District Executive Engineer LGED Nilphamri. He added out of the total expenditure of Tk 200 million in Dimla upazila nearly Tk 70 million has been allotted in education sector.
