Liberation War Museum turns 23 today

The Liberation War Museum will complete 22 years of its founding today (Thursday), reports UNB.
The museum will organise a weeklong festival on the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of its founding and for the Independence Day celebrations.
The inauguration ceremony will begin with the speeches of the trustees of the museum while its trustee and member-secretary Ziauddin Tariq Ali will present the annual report of the museum.
Professor Ajoy Roy will deliver the founding memorial speech titled 'Massacre of the University of Dhaka by the Pakistani forces'.
Dhrupad Art Centre will perform dance while recitations will be provided by the Kotha Recitation Training Centre.
On the other side, students of Sir John Wilson School and Badda Alatunnesa High School will perform the cultural event while Annaghono will present the chorus.
Alongside, a weeklong book fair focusing on the books of Bangladesh Liberation War will be organised on the premises of the museum as well.
