Licences of 12 hajj agencies cancelled

The government has cancelled licences and forfeited security money of 12 hajj agencies and cautioned another one on charge of various irregularities during the last year's hajj. State Minister for Religious Affairs Shajahan Mia told reporters Thursday that 12 hajj agencies were also fined and eight of them will be sued. Of the hajj agencies, eight were fined up to Tk 2.0 million and specific cases will be filed against them. - UNB
