LID-2007 to be held in Malaysia from August 6

The 8th Langkawi International Dialogue (LID)-2007 will be held in Langkawi, Malaysia from 6-8 August to explore possible solutions to human capital development, capacity building and poverty eradication.
About 500 participants, including 42 heads of states and governments along with top government officials, academicians, business executives, social activists, economists and youth leaders are expected to attend the dialogue, said an official of the ministry of foreign affairs (MoFA).
Besides, he said, media persons, who intend to attend the programme, may apply for accreditation.

A government delegation is expected to attend the meeting to represent the position of Bangladesh and exchange views with delegates of other participating countries according to a MoFA source.
