Life ins officials to join first-ever meet

 A five-day-long workshop for the officials working in the life insurance companies’ underwriting and claim departments begins today (Saturday) in the city.
The insurance regulator organised the workshop.
Sultan-Ul-Abedine Molla, member at the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA), will preside over the inaugural session at the city's Baitul Abed Bhaban located in Paltan area.
Top executives of the life insurance companies might join in the inaugural session, a pres release issued by the IDRA said.
A large number of participants from the life insurance companies are expected to join in the first-ever meeting being hosted by the IDRA.
Mr Molla said this workshop will improve professional efficiency of the trainees concerned.
He said the IDRA is organising the workshop as the insurance act of 2010 has given them a mandate to launch such type of programme for the professional development of the personnel concerned.
