Light to moderate rain/ thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions in the next 24-hour from 06:00 am today (Thursday), according to the Met Office.
It may also occur at one or two places over Dhaka and Rajshahi divisions with moderately heavy falls.
Mild heat wave may sweep over Sylhet division and the districts of Rajshahi, Panchagarh and Nilphamari.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 37.2 degrees Celsius in Sayedpur and Rajshahi respectively and the minimum was 25.0 degrees Celsius in Sitakunda and Rangamati respectively.
The highest temperature in the city was recorded at 34.7 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and the lowest was 28.3 degrees.
