Lightning kills 11, injures three in three districts

At least 11 people were killed in lightning in three districts Monday amid bursts of cloud as a calamitous weather prevailed over the country, reports UNB.
According to reports, seven people were killed in Cox's Bazar and two each in Brahmanbaria and Noakhali districts.
In the worst hit coastal district of Cox's Bazar, seven people, including a little boy, were killed in lightning in separate places Monday morning.
Sources said Mostaq Ahmed (20) of Moheshkhai Upazila and Khorshed Alam (22) and Fazlul Karim (35) of Sadar Uapzila died instantly as thunderbolts struck them while working in their shrimp enclosures.
