Lightning kills 5 in Naogaon

Five people were killed and 30 others injured in separate incidents of lightning strike in Saraswatipur Dhanerhat area in Mahadevpur upazila in Naogaon Friday morning. The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. Mahadevpur thana officer-in-charge said thunderbolt struck them amid heavy downpour around 7:30 am, leaving 5 people dead on the spot. The injured were admitted to different hospitals and clinics, according to UNB.
