Lightning kills four in three dists

Four people, including two minor sisters, were killed in separate incidents of lightning strikes in Habiganj, Kishoreganj and Moulvibazar districts on Sunday, reports UNB.
In Moulvibazar, two minor sisters died after a thunderbolt struck them at Patanushar village under Kaliganj upazila.
The deceased were identified as Sadia Akhter, 06 and Munni Akhter, 04, daughters of Junayed Mia of the village.
The thunderbolt hit them around 9:30 am when the siblings were playing at their courtyard, leaving them severely injured, according to locals.
The injured were rushed to Moulvibazar 250-bed hospital where doctor declared them dead.
In Kishoreganj, a young farmer named Rabbi Mia died after being hit by a thunderbolt around 11:30 am at Nandirhat village in Itna upazila.
A thunderbolt struck him while he was cutting grass, said officer-in-charge of Itna Police Station Md Morshed Zaman.
In Habiganj, Abdul Hamid, 60, son of Nimar Ali, was killed after being struck by lightning at Montail village in Lakhai upazila.
