Lightning kills three in Sunamganj

SUNAMGANJ, June 25 (UNB): Three people were killed as lightning struck them near the Jadukata river in Tahirpur upazila on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Jamaluddin,35, of Manigaon village, Abdur Razzak,40, of Puranghat village and Al Amin,14, of Khadirkhola village of the Upazila.
Officer-in-charge of Tahirpur thana Md Shahidullah said a streak of lightning struck the trio when they were collecting coal near the river around 5:30pm, leaving them dead on the spot.
On information, police recovered the bodies.
