Lightning strike claims three lives in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, July 01 (UNB): Three members of a family were killed as lightning struck them at Saltala village in Sadullapur upazila in the district on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Rasheda Begum, her son Afiz and nephew Nizam, all residents of Saltala village.
Officer-in-charge of Sadullapur Police Station Md Borhan Uddin said a thunderbolt hit the tin-shed house amid rain in the afternoon while the trio was in the house, leaving them dead on the spot.
