Lightning strike killed four

At least four people were killed and eight others injured by lightning strikes in different villages of Bhajanpur union of Tentulia upazila in Panchagarh district on Friday afternoon. The deceased were identified as Azizul Islam, 50, son of Dulu Mohammad of Bhelupara village, Babu, 22, son of Dulal of Bhajanpur college Para village, Shahinur, 23, son of Komser Ali of Shantijog village and Tarikul Islam, 30, of Daluapara area of the upazila. Bhajanpur Union Parishad (UP) chairman Mostafa Kamal Swapan said four people were killed and eight others injured by thunderbolts while they were working in different villages in the upazila around 5:30pm. The injured received first aid in Panchagarh Modern Sadar Hospital, according to a news agency.
