Lightning strike kills 3

Three people were killed and 11 others injured in a lightning strike at Barkal upazila in Rangamati district on Sunday afternoon. The deceased were identified as Shanti Priya Chakma, Refresh Chakma and Sunil Chakma. A thunderbolt struck the victims when a group of 20-25 people was harvesting paddy in a field Begenachhari village. They were rushed to Rangamati Hospital where doctors declared the trio dead, according to UNB.
