Literacy programme for aboriginal people

CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Oct 5 (BSS): A literacy programme for aboriginal people of Babudaing under Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila began on October 4.
The three-month programme has been taken by the Chapainawabganj Zila Parishad.
Divisional Commissioner of Rajshahi Mohammad Shafiul Alam was the chief guest at the inaugural function, chaired by chief executive of the Zila Porishod Benjamin Hembrom.
Additional Divisional Commissioner of Rajshahi Hafizur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of Chapainawabganj Shahadat Hossain, ADC (Rev) Shah Alam Mridha, Secretary of the Zila Parishad Nurul Hoque and Lakkhan Kumar addressed the function, among others.
After the discussion, a good number of books were distributed among the aboriginal people.
