Littering should be stopped

Saturday, 14 October 2023

Dhaka is not at all a clean city. The beauty of this city is often spoiled by littering waste and filth. The streets of Dhaka continue to bear the brunt of unabated littering. People responsible for this should be fined. The existing law against littering is not implemented at all in any area of the city.
If we have a look at the cantonment area of the capital, we will find people there obeying the law and the entire area is neat and clean. So, we can say that it is all about enforcing the law. Moreover, we need to educate our people and make them aware about the negative effects of littering. Promoting cleanliness requires changing the mindset of every single citizen of Bangladesh. The culture of throwing waste here and there cannot change without strict laws and their rigorous enforcement.
