NARAYANGANJ: Six days after the recovery of seven bodies in the district, the local administration Tuesday said there has been little progress so far in the investigation into the case filed over the gruesome murders.
“Though we (police) have made a little bit of progress in the investigation, that’s not enough. It’ll take time to reach the destination on the basis of what we have achieved so far,” Police Super of Narayanganj Dr Khandaker Mohid Uddin told reporters at his office, according to a news agency.
Asked if the accused sneaked out of the country, Dr Khadakaer Mohid Uddin said they do not have information that the accused fled the country.
Over investigation into the alleged involvement of Rab personnel in the incident, he said, “It’s not our duty to investigate against Rab. We didn’t receive any instruction about investigation against Rab.”
