Liver specialists awarded

Two Bangladeshi liver specialists Dr Md Shahinul Alam and Dr Md Golam Azam have been awarded by American Association for The Study of the Liver (AASLD).
Dr Shahinul Alam awarded for his research on acute liver failure and Dr Golam Azam for his research on treatment of chronic hepatitis C.
They will be awarded in Seoul, Korea on the occasion of 18th conference of the Asia Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver to be held from 23rd March to 26th March.
Dr Md Shahinul Alam is working at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University as Assistant Professor in the Department of Hepatology and Dr Md Golam Azam is working at BIRDEM Hospital as a research officer and liver specialist.
They have completed their research under supervision of Prof Dr Mobin Khan who is a leading liver disease specialist of the country.
