Liza retains solo lead in Women Chess

International Women's Master (IWM) Shamima Akter Liza of Narayanganj retained her solo lead in the Arlin Developers 32nd National Women Chess Championship securing eight points after the 9th round matches at the Chess Federation hall room in the city Thursday, reports UNB.
IWM Rani Hamid of Titas Club closely followed the leader with 7.5 points while Nazrana Khan Eva of Manikganj stood 3rd in the points table securing seven points after the 9th round matches. In the day's 9th round matches, Liza beat Tanjina Akter Tani of
Motijheel Govt. Girls High School, Rani Hamid defeated Mahmud Haque Chowdhury Moly of Chittagong and Eva outplayed Arifa Khatun Moni of Pabna, Sharmin Sultana Shirin of Destiny 2000 Limited beat Roksana Titly of Pabna.
