LK Siddiqui\\\'s janaza held

The namaz-e-janaza of former Water Resources minister and deputy speaker LK Siddiqui was held at South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad Sunday morning, reports UNB.
Chief Whip ASM Firoz, members of the parliament, senior secretary to Jatiya Sangsad Md Ashraful Makbul, officials of the parliament secretariat, among others, attended the Janaza.
Assistant military secretary to the President and Chief Whip ASM Feroz placed wreaths at the coffin of LK Siddiqui on behalf of President Abdul Hamid and Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury respectively.
Besides, different political, social and cultural organisations paid their last respect to the former minister by placing wreaths at his coffin.
LK Siddiqui passed away at a Singapore hospital Friday morning at the age of 75.
The former minister was buried at his family graveyard in Sitakunda upazila after Asr prayers Sunday following several namaz-e-janazas in the capital and Chittagong.
Siddiqui was elected MP from Sitakunda constituency thrice in 1979, 1991 and 2001.
