Loan distributed among distressed women

GAIBANDHA, Feb 12 (BSS): Department of Women Affairs distributed loan among distressed women of Sadullapur Upazila in the district Sunday aimed at creating employment opportunities.
The loan distribution function was held on the premises of upazila parishad with Shahnaj Akter, upazila women affairs officer in the chair, while UNO M Farid Uddin Ahmed distributed the loans as the chief guest.
A total of Tk 0.18 million (1.82 lakh) was distributed among 20 distressed women. Each of the women received loan ranging from Tk 5,000 to Tk 15,000.
UP chairmen, upazila level officials, local elite and journalists were present on the occasion.
