Loan sanctioning to small industries emphasised

BASIC Bank Limited Managing Director AH Ekbal Hossain emphasised sanctioning of loan to small and medium industries with an intention to explore employment opportunities and to lessen poverty simultaneously.
He was presiding over the 2nd Managers' Conference 2007 in the city recently.
The managing director urged the bank managers to ensure better services to clients in order to face the present challenges of the banking sector.
He congratulated all branch in-charges, executives of the head office and officers and staff of the bank for trimming down the non-performing loans to an acceptable level and also for achieving half-yearly business targets.
He called upon the branch in-charges to expand export and import business of the country.
Finally he advised them to be more cautious about fraud and forgery.
BASIC Bank Deputy Managing Director Md Mosaddiqur Rahman, general managers- Md Abdul Jabber, Shaikh Ahmed, Golam Mohiuddin, Md Mahtab Uddin, SK Monzur Morshed and Md Mesbahul Haque and other executives of the bank were also present on the occasion.
