Local co to invest $15.6m in KEPZ

M/s Modiste (Bangladesh) Limited, a Bangladeshi company, will set up a textile and garments manufacturing industry in Karnophuli Export Processing Zone (KEPZ) involving 15.6 million US dollars.
The company will create an employment opportunity for 1812 Bangladeshis and seven foreign nationals, said a press release.
An agreement to this effect was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and M/s Modiste (Bangladesh) Limited at BEPZA Complex Sunday.
The general manager (Invest-ment Promotion) of Bangladesh Export Proces-sing Zones Authority and the managing director of M/s Modiste (Bangladesh) Ltd signed the lease agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
