Local co to invest $3.0m in DEPZ

Styrax Fashion Limited, a Bangladeshi company, will set up a garments manufacturing industry in the Dhaka Export Processing Zone (DEPZ), said a press release .
The 100-per cent local owned company will invest US$ 3.0 million to set up their plant and will produce garment items.
The company will also create employment opportunity for 1,000 Bangladeshi nationals.
In this connection, an agreement was signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and Styrax Fashion Limited at the BEPZA Complex in the city Sunday.
BEPZA member (Investment Promotion) Prasanta Bhushan Barua and Styrax Fashion Managing Director Md Nurul Haque signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Also present in the signing ceremony was BEPZA Executive Chairman Brig General Jamil Ahmed Khan along with other officials from the respective organisations.
