Local co to invest $5.126m in Karnaphuli EPZ

M/s Nasco, Inc, a 100 per cent local-owned company, will invest US$5.126 million for setting up a textile manufacturing industries in Karnaphuli Export Processing Zone (EPZ), said a press release.
The company will also create employment opportunity for 300 persons including 12 foreign nationals.
In this connection, an agreement was signed between M/s Nasco, Inc and Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) at its complex in the city recently.
Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA Md Moyjuddin Ahmed and Proprietor of Nasco, Inc Mohammad Abu Nasir signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Also present at the signing ceremony were, BEPZA Executive Chairman Brig Gen Jamil Ahmed Khan, Member (Finance) AKM Mahabubur Rahman, General manager (Investment Promotion) AZM Azizur Rahman and General Manager Md Khorshed Alam.
