Local co to invest Tk 1.61b in Ishwardi EPZ

Bangladeshi company Sunman Industrial Corporation Limited will set up a home textile (weaving, dyeing) and related products manufacturing industry in the Ishwardi Export Processing Zone (EPZ), says a press release.
This wholly local-owned company will invest about Tk 1.61 billion in setting up their plant and will produce textile products.
The company will also create employment opportunity for 5400 Bangladeshi and 12 foreign nationals. This Industrial unit is a sister concern of Sunman Group.
An agreement to this effect was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and Sunman Industrial Corporation Ltd at BEPZA Complex in the city Wednesday.
BEPZA Member (Investment Promotion) Prasanta Bhushan Barua and Sunman Industrial Corp Managing Director Abdul Mannan signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
BEPZA Executive Chairman Jamil Ahmed Khan and other officials were also present on the occasion.
