Local Govt Bill'10 placed in Parliament

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on LGRD and Cooperatives Ministry Tuesday placed its report on 'The Local Government (Union Parishad) (amendment) Bill, 2010' in Parliament, reports BSS.
Committee Chairman Rahmat Ali placed the report in the House.
Earlier on October 4, LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Syed Ashraful Islam introduced the bill with a proposal for deleting the words, numbers and signs which have been mentioned in sub-section 1 of section 13 of the existing law.
Against this backdrop, he said, the bill had been brought to avoid such situation.
