Lokpal Bill tabled in Delhi Assembly

Aam Aadmi Party government has tabled the Jan Lokpal Bill in Delhi Assembly amidst stiff protests from BJP and Congress members, triggering anuproar and forcing adjournment of the House, according to Indian media reports. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tabled the bill despite the Delhi lieutenant governor's advice against introduction of the bill without following constitutional procedures. Amidst chaos following opposition demands for voting on the lieutenant governor's advice, Kejriwal got up to say he was tabling the bill, according to a news agency.
