Looming uncertainty
Friday, 9 January 2015
The common people are now living in a state of panic and uncertainty as we see helplessly the incidents of death and damage. The outside world gets a grim picture of our country and we cannot blame them. The ruling party has become oblivious of the fact that peace cannot be achieved by force and must be attained through dialogue and understanding.
History witnesses that nobody has ever been able to cling to power by force ignoring popular demands. Meanwhile a few of the ruling party leaders are inciting the opposition with hate speeches which is surprising, because it is the duty of the party in power to establish peace and law and order in society. Uncertainty is mounting and becoming unbearable for the common people. I hope, the civil society will come forward and play an important role to relieve us of the present uncertainty and sufferings.
